South-African Food Weeks 14.09-28.09.2012 Meriton Hotels continues with Food Weeks tradition and for the second time we introduce the South-African cuisine and culture. During Food Weeks we await everyone to try South-African cuisine delicacies. From the menu you can also find the last year's big hit - milk tart. South-African dishes are available in café Mademoiselle (Paldiski mnt.4) and Bistro Mary (Paldiski mnt.4). The food weeks opening gala dinner takes place on 14th of September. Musical entertainment at the gala dinner will be provided by musicians from South-Africa, although today they are living in Sweden or Norway. Last year we had a pleasure to enjoy music from two of those musicians, this year they added two female voices.
Springbok carpaccio with avocado salad and pumpkin seed oil Laibach Ladybird Organic White 2011, Stellenbosch Lamb carre with vegetable bobotie and chakalaka Laibach Ladybird Organic Red, Stellenbosch Lemon sorbet Ostrich fillet with vegetables of the season and green pepper sauce Strawberry Fields 2008, Graceland Wineyards, Stellenbosh Malva pudding with caramel sauce Orange River Soet Hanepoot Coffee/ Rooibos tea Wines provided by West Cape company. From bistro Mary menu you can find: bobotie, chicken with paprika and almond, beef a la zimbabwe, lamb in palava sauce.
