Encouraged by the success of Villa Mary and the rising popularity of New Nordic Food, we opened the Trofe restaurant in Tallinn’s Old Town in spring 2015.
The name of the restaurant comes from Norwegian and translates as a hunting trophy.
Trofe’s menu reflects a modern approach to beloved familiar dishes from Estonia and Scandinavia. We offer characteristically Nordic cuisine: game, meat and fish from the Baltics and Scandinavia. In addition, classic Nordic appetizers and delicious desserts are offered. Clients’ favorites include Norwegian salmon, duck fillet and venison, which shouldn’t be missed!
The head chef in Trofe is Igor Semindeikin, who has been with Meriton Family Estate OÜ since 2014. Igor has been working as a chef for 19 years and spent several years in Nice, France as a private chef in manor houses. If asked what his favorite ingredient is, Trofe’s head chef says that he has no particular favorite, because everything can be made into something interesting. But Igor enjoys working with fish and seafood the most.
At Trofe, Igor prepares the menus for daily offers as well as many special menus according to clients’ requests – no wish is too ambitious and we always figure out the best solution for the client.
