Meriton Hotels, in cooperation with the Irish Embassy in Tallinn, are organizing Irish Food Weeks from 18 January through 01 February at the Meriton Conference & Spa hotel. During these Food Weeks, a festive Irish Gala dinner will also be held with which Irish Embassy celebrating the Ireland’s EU presidency.
Irish Food weeks open with a festive Gala dinner on 18 January. The basic idea of an Irish kitchen is fresh and healthy food, according to Meriton Hotels Chef Timo Ruuto. “The gala dinner will start with Irish Salmon Trio, after that Asparagus Soup with the smoked and grissini cheese. For the main course we offer roast lamb with cooked vegetables and mint source. The dinner will be end with apple tart with vanilla ice cream,” said Ruuto. He added that traditional Irish drinks will be served in the evening, such as Irish coffee, Bailey’s Irish cream and Guinness bear.

During the Gala Dinner the young talented singer Andrejs Krutojs with the pianist Magone Runka will perform famous classical pieces. The second performer at the gala dinner is Liis Jürgenson on the harp.
Irish Food Weeks at Meriton Conference & Spa hotel are open to all who are interested to get a glimpse of Irish Food. Selection is available in Bistroo Mary and Café Mademoiselle (Paldiski mnt 27) from 19 of January till 01 of February.
The Food Weeks tradition in Meriton Hotels began in 2009. Today, there have been eleven different Food Weeks. Just to mention a few: South Africa, Russia, Canada, China, Belgium and Austria have already introduced their kitchens in Tallinn through these food weeks.
