South-African Food Weeks in Meriton Hotels

Meriton Hotels continues with Food Weeks tradition and for the second time we introduce the South-African cuisine and culture. South African Food Weeks are supported by South African embassy in Finland. Menu and recipes from Paul Senosi (Southern African Baltic OÜ).
The food weeks opening gala dinner took place in 14th of September, the opening speech was held by South African Ambassador hr. Sello Moloto and Meriton Hotels Group AS General Manager hr. Heinz Weisl. Musical entertainment at the gala dinner was provided by Mzwakhe Hlatshwayo and friends.
Opening gala dinner menu included all the South African cuisine delicacies: springbok carpaccio with avocado salad and pumpkin seed oil, lamb carre with vegetable bobotie and chakalaka, ostrich fillet with vegetables of the season and green pepper sauce and Malva pudding with caramel sauce.
South-African dishes are available in café Mademoiselle (Paldiski mnt.4) and Bistro Mary (Paldiski mnt.4).
From the cafe Mademoiselle menu you can find the last year's big hit - milk tart. Bistro offers dishes like – Zimbabwe beef, lamb in palava sauce, chicken tagine, bobotie, chicken with paprika and almonds.
Café Mademoiselle is located in Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel, Paldiski mnt.4, open every day 7:00-23:00. Bistro Mary is located in Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel, Paldiski mnt.4, open Mon-Fri 12:00-15:00.
