Polish Food Weeks in Meriton Hotels from 26.5. till 10.06.2011

Meriton Hotels will continue with Food Weeks tradition. Poland will take on the presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 Julr 2011, therefore we decided to introduce the Polish rich cuisine. Polish Food Weeks are supported by Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tallinn.

The opening gala of the Food Weeks takes place on 26th of May. Dishes are prepared in collaboration with Chef de Cuisine mr. Jacek Szczepanski from Poland and Meriton Hotels cooks. Mr. Szczepanski currently working as Chef de Cuisine in the Wellness & SPA hotel „Warszawianka” in Jachranka. 1987–2004 he worked in hotel Sofitel Victoria in Warszawa. He has worked also in hotels in The United Arab Emirates, Paris, Bangkok,Lisbon, Moscow. Mr. Szczepanski was the first chef de cuisine in Poland. He worked for the 7 years for president Aleksander Kwaśniewski and his guests.
During Food Weeks Mademoiselle cafés and bistro Mary offer dishes from Polish kitchen – Pope´s beef fillet rolls with blue cheese and fresh basil, Clear red barszcz with stuffed pastries, Fried duck with apples and potatoes served Polish way, Pork tenderloin „Czarnolas“ with buckwheat porridge and breaded fried beet, Strawberries with meringue etc. There are also brochures about Poland available in the hotels.
Mademoiselle cafés are located: Meriton Conference & Spa hotel, Paldiski mnt. 4 and Meriton Old Town Garden hotel, Pikk 29. Bistro Mary situates in Meriton Conference & Spa hotel, Paldiski mnt. 4.
